The Encore Club was formed to raise financial support for the
National Music Foundation’s American Music Education
Initiative. Through the Encore Club the Foundation creates
special opportunities for club members to gather at prominent
musical events.
Every year’s event schedule is different,
but the Club has included one particular event every year since
its inception: the American Music Awards. The AMAs, shown
live on ABC-TV, celebrate the most popular musical performers
in America. Club members, sitting in the orchestra among the nominees,
have enjoyed show-stopping performances by Michael Jackson, Reba
McEntire, Metallica, Tim McGraw, Elton John, matchbox 20, Britney
Spears, and many, many more. After the show, Club members join
special guests at a back-stage celebration.

The Encore Club has also gone to Nashville
for the Country Radio Seminar, where the stars of country
music gather to meet with the radio industry. This multi-day event
features daily concerts by leading country performers, as well
as nightclub shows and new artist showcases. At CRS, Club members
have met Garth Brooks and Travis
Tritt,
and enjoyed fabulous performances by Trisha Yearwood, Steve Wariner,
Vince Gill, Keith Urban (in the photo), and Clint Black, to name
just a few. In 2001 we also attended the Country Music Awards
and heard the premier performance of Alan Jackson’s "Where
Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)."
The annual donation for membership in the
Encore Club is $1,000 per person, due May 30 each year. For more
